Job Summary:
The Offset Feeder efficiently prepares the press. Assists in the make ready of the press and complete work as planned on the daily production schedule.
Major Responsibilities:
• Load paper into the press
• Assist in the startup and operation of the press to include
• Setup feeder
• Bend and hang plates
• Apply inks to fountains
• Examine press sheets on the fly for normal and special variation
• Stack or palletize delivered sheets to assure against offsetting or other damage
• Clean up the press
• Perform preventive maintenance including lubrication, roller inspection and deglazing, new blanket preparation, clean water tanks and make roller changes
