As a Prepress Technician at Microforum, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the flawless preparation of printing jobs for production. With your extensive knowledge and expertise in prepress operations, you will be responsible for handling various types of jobs, including flats with die-line and die-cutting, books and multi-page signatures. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be at the forefront of the printing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare printing jobs for production for in-house and out-source printing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
Handle jobs related to flats with die-line and die-cutting, books and multi-page signatures printing.
Utilize extensive knowledge of XML, PDF, Color, Dot Screens, and other technical languages for prepress operations.
Demonstrate superior expertise with Adobe products, particularly Illustrator, and Indesign.
Imposing and creating colour separations and plate output to achieve exceptional print quality.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of projects.
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Prepress Technician in a fast-paced printing environment.
Proficient in preparing various types of printing jobs, including flats, books, and other forms of printing.
Exceptional knowledge and proficiency in Adobe products, especially Illustrator, and Indesign.
Experience with imposing and creating color separations and plate output.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Ability to calculate the cost of production between various output devices to meet tight deadline.
