About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Prepress Manager to oversee our afternoon shift production operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels in managing people, optimizing workflow, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in a fast-paced print production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all prepress activities on the afternoon shift.
Manage a team of prepress operators and technicians, ensuring smooth handoff between shifts.
Oversee file preparation, proofing, plating, color management, and job scheduling.
Ensure all projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and client specifications.
Maintain and troubleshoot prepress software and equipment
Collaborate with production, pressroom, and customer service teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure continuous improvement.
Monitor workflow and recommend process improvements to maximize productivity.
Enforce safety and quality control policies.
Qualifications
5+ years of prepress or printing industry experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
Strong technical knowledge of prepress systems
Familiarity with offset and/or digital printing workflows.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced production setting.
Strong communication and decision-making skills.
Willingness to work afternoon shift hours and occasional overtime if required.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
Knowledge of quality control procedures.
Familiarity with safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with relevant software tools is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.'
