Account Manager (Thistle Printing - Toronto)
Thistle Printing (a division of DATA Communications Management) provides tailor made print solutions to our local, regional and national clients. Our dedicated team takes pride in providing our clients with exceptional performance at every phase - from consultation through to execution of their print requirements.
We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager who can provide vital customer-relations and business-development support. In this role, you’ll draw from your solid understanding of Thistle’s product and service portfolio support a designated list of commercial accounts with a focus on retaining and expanding existing account revenue as well as driving new market share.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Protecting the existing account base and increasing its revenue and profitability;
Continuously maintaining sustained sales activities within all accounts;
•Meeting or exceeding revenue and profit expectations; and
•Providing clients, with little to no print experience, guidance on stocks to use, colours, binding methods, etc.
•Submitting quotes to estimating and using client history to provide pricing to clients
•Giving print specifications, estimate, previous job reference, shipping information, delivery dates and any other pertinent information to CSRs to begin production
•Oversee client expectations and make sure jobs are produced on time and liaise with production & clients to manage delivery dates and expectations
•Work as the liaison between the mail house and the client on direct mail orders
•Work with outside suppliers when needed to assist production
•Address any production issues with clients and adjust billing accordingly if required
•Assist clients during press approvals
•Follow up on outstanding quotes and orders
•Submit orders for final invoicing
•Attend client meetings and functions
As the successful candidate, your skills will include:
•Interacting effectively at senior levels, you are motivated, ambitious, committed and results-oriented.
•A minimum of 5 years of consultative sales experience, with special emphasis and proven success in developing and maintaining accounts
•Strong business acumen including pre-sale research, solution design as part of a team, superior presentation skills and the ability to close deals.
•A university degree/college diploma and printing industry experience.
•Customer-focused, you possess outstanding communication skills, especially a strong command of written and verbal English.
•You have experience in MS Office applications and CRM systems.
