Manager-Litho Print Operations


•Supervise litho print & finish operations staff including performance management process, managing payroll, approving timesheets, cross-training, etc.

•Attend daily production meeting

•Manage litho print and finishing schedules

•Develop and present a plan to add capacity to the Manroland to support business growth

•Monitor and manage accurate and timely data collection, related to recoverable hours for litho related operations; reporting on large variances to President

•Manage labour including O/T and load balancing to ensure scheduling demands and timelines are met

•Review, update, and document all procedures and processes related to litho print operations activities

•Continuously review, improve and optimize efficiencies and work standards e.g., production speeds

•Monitor and report on KPIs

•Monitor Costs vs Estimate, coordinate with planning to correct estimates in epace

•Identify opportunities and drive process improvements

•Document and manage maintenance program for all equipment within litho print & finish operations, to avoid downtimes

•Manage QC process and procedures, participate in NCR process to determine root cause and corrective/preventative actions

•Manage Platemaking in conjunction with Prepress Manager and ensure all materials such as plates, stock, inks are available and accounted for in production process

•Ensure compliance with government regulations including Health & Safety, WSIB, and COVID protocols

•Assist with press approvals

•Maintain G7 expert and FSC certifications

•Oversee all material handling and inventory

•Oversee shipping and receiving

•Maintain a clean and safe production environment



•Litho Print & Finish Operations related education gained through extensive training and apprenticeship

Years of Experience & Technical Knowledge/Expertise:

•7+ years of management experience in litho printing operation, processes and related finishing operations

•Excellent knowledge of colour management, statistical process control
