We are a sheetfed offset print and bindery and folding carton manufacturing plant looking for a Production Manager for Finishing / Bindery to join our team. This individual is high energy with strong technical abilities and a hands on approach to operations. This individual is responsible to improve and ensure the smooth and effective post-press operations with the end goal of driving growth, cost reduction, production flow, production quality and customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties

Monitor, document and report on production, quality, maintenance, and operational nonconformities for effective organization planning

Overlook all quality control aspects for preventative measures throughout the life cycle of the job

Create and implement procedures to drive effective and positive change in our operations to optimize productivity and product quality

Develop and implement systems, processes and policies and document to support company’s overall operations and promote employee and customer satisfaction

Supervise and liaise all finishing departments along account managers to optimize production life cycle of projects

Implement and support safety and maintenance programs to uphold a positive and safe working environment for all employees

Implement and support ISO quality process production processes and further QC traceability and equipment maintenance

Assist with production supervisors in relation to existing / new equipment to maximize production output and machine uptime

Actively train and motivate department members and new hires to achieve timely delivery, continuous workflow, and highest quality of products

Other duties as assigned

Requirements, Skills and Experience

Thorough technical knowledge of printing process from prepress to finishing, specifically book manufacturing and folding carton manufacturing

Strong leadership and communication skills, able to work well in high-stress, fast-paced, team environment

Excellent time management skills and detail-oriented with ability to multitask

Passion for problem solving and thrives with grace to overcome challenges

Embodies a positive attitude and a high level of trust, integrity, motivation and accountability

Minimum 5 years of strong leadership experience in a senior management / supervisor position

Minimum 5 years of experience with post-press operations

Flexible and able to work overtime and be on-call to support plant operations

Bonus: 5S and lean manufacturing principle throughout operations along with documentation

Job type: Permanent full-time position after 3-month probationary period
