Reporting to Director of Procurement, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for procuring supplies that are essential for our company’s day-to-day operations. The position ensures that materials are of high quality, cost effective and delivered on time, as well as providing support to organizational procurement initiatives, as required.

*Key Responsibilities:

•Execute day to day purchasing functions

•Source materials, timing and pricing from suppliers

•Create POs in MIS and place orders

•Help to control levels of inventory items

•Research alternate products to ensure equal or superior quality, and functionality

•Request quotes and establish best prices for maximum ROI

•Create and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers

•Examine and review products and supplies to ensure up to date on new products

•Help track incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note actual arrival time

•Maintain database of suppliers, delivery times, and quantity of supplies

•Work with team members, and procurement head to develop future purchasing plans and source potential relationships with new vendors and suppliers

•Ensure all deliveries contain all goods requested and follow-up on shortages

•Collaborate with team members on procurement contracts, invoicing, and related financial matters

*Knowledge and Skills:

•Post-secondary education including college or university

•Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience

•Knowledge of the sheet fed and large format print industry

•Strong negotiating skills

•Knowledge of finishing and bindery workflows

•Computer literacy: MS Office. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

•Excellent organizational & communication skills
