DT&P is a fast-paced, customer-focused printing company dedicated to delivering high-quality printed materials with precision and efficiency. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Digital Prepress Operator to join our team.
Position Summary:
As a Digital Prepress Operator, you’ll play a key role in preparing customer files for print production. You will be responsible for preflighting, light design adjustments, and executing print-ready files that meet exacting specifications. A strong understanding of the printing process and Adobe Creative Cloud tools is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and preflight incoming artwork for print compatibility and quality control
• Make light design edits and layout adjustments as needed
• Prepare and impose files for digital and offset printing workflows
• Ensure all files meet job specifications and press requirements
• Communicate with customer service and production teams to resolve file issues
• Maintain organized file management and documentation of job files
• Troubleshoot and resolve file and output issues in a deadline-driven environment
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a digital prepress role within a commercial print environment
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
• Solid understanding of prepress fundamentals including color modes, bleeds, resolution, imposition, trapping, and file formats (PDF/X standards)
• Familiarity with RIP software, digital press workflows, and print production processes
• Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
• Experience with variable data printing (VDP)
• Basic knowledge of large-format
