Position Summary:
The Feeder assists the Pressperson in the efficient running of the sheetfed press.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare and feed paper loads into lithographic presses, checking for damage (e.g., fork marks, folded sheets)
• Set up feed tables and manage inks/coatings for smooth press operation
• Operate feeder on press at efficient levels
• Pile necessary paper to keep press running at speeds set by pressperson
• Assist in the unloading of printed sheets and if necessary, to re-pile
• Assist in washing up press, changing blankets and keeping damp (water fountains) at proper levels
• Assist in maintaining the press (keeping press clean and floor area clean and press properly oiled and greased)
• Maintain safety standards (WHMIS, OHSA) and quality checks to meet high standards
• Use or wear any equipment, protective devices or clothing required by the company
• Report any defect in any equipment or protective device e.g. PPE, machine guarding which may be hazardous to either themselves or another worker
• Assist in troubleshooting press issues
• Report any injury, illness or hazardous condition/act immediately to report to their supervisor or manager
• Participate in all required health and safety training
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management/ Willingness to work in other departments as required

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12, high school certificate
• Minimum two years experience working on a sheetfed press
• Knowledge and experience with 40” Heidelberg Speedmaster 6-colour with AQ or similar is an asset
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work to accurate dimensions
• Must be able to bend, lift and stand for extended periods of time
• Capable of handling different types of material weighing up to 50 lbs
• Excellent attention to details and be able to communicate well
• Able to work in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions

Working Conditions:
• Monday – Friday, 5am – 1pm
• On-site parking
• Close to Public Transit
