Description:
We are recruiting a Digital Press Operator to join a leading print production team in Scarborough. This role is responsible for setting up and operating HP digital presses to produce high-quality pressure-sensitive labels and related products.
Key Responsibilities
•Set up and run HP digital presses to produce labels according to job specifications and customer standards
•Read and interpret job orders, load jobs, and manage ink and substrate requirements
•Adjust press settings for speed, alignment, and print impression; perform quality checks and make corrections as needed
•Record material usage, time, and other details accurately in job management software
•Inspect samples for imperfections, adjusting press operations to maintain quality output
•Communicate production updates and issues to supervisors in a timely manner
•Maintain accurate inventory usage records
•Perform daily, weekly, and monthly press maintenance
•Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
•High school diploma or GED, plus 3+ years of related press operating experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
•5 years of experience operating a press in a print environment (digital press preferred)
•Experience running films and paper substrates; re-insertion experience an asset
•HP Operator Level 1 Certification preferred
•Strong math and measurement skills (rulers, scales, fractions, decimals)
•Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
•Strong attention to detail, including vision for close work, color accuracy, depth perception, and focus
•Willingness to participate in vendor-sponsored training programs
